What a surprise to see this photo. I grew up in that house in the middle of the photo. Back in the early ’60s, it was well-maintained and housed six of us. My parents were Bill and Doris Henry, along with siblings Kirke, Annette and Beth. My youngest sister Anita was born a few years after we moved from this house over to the Henry farm house a few hundred yards east of here. My brother briefly attended the one-room school house (the building with the small bell tower in the background). Sadly, this photo captures the general state of this once-thriving farm village.
