Can anybody shed some light on what this building was?
It was originally the Kongsberg State Bank buliding until it was purchased in 1929 for use as the St. John’s Lutheran Church. They used this as the church beginning in 1933 and continued to use it until 1962. They added the gabled roof to replace the original flat roof in 1938. My parents were married in this church in 1957.
Here is a link to a local newpaper article about the St. John’s Lutheran Church 100th anniversary celebrated in the summer of 2012. This may provide a bit more history/information: http://www.minotdailynews.com/page/content.detail/id/566991/St–John-s-Evangelical-Lutheran-Church-celebrates-100-years.html?nav=5014
